City Rail

I haven't written of late as there's been nothing to grumble about but things've changed.

Took a train the other day and it was an hour late so I wrote an asked for a $4.4o refund for my ticket. The City Rail Business Operations Manager writes back to me saying that even though he was sincerely mine he couldn't give us a refund as it was law that they could cancel trains or do whatever jolly well pleased them.

Incredulous! What business I ask you can do this?? Sell you product then swap it for something else. They may as well say...well you can buy a ticket but don't expect things to run on time cause quite frankly we'd be jolly well surprised ourselves if they did.

Why is it only the government can enact laws that give themselves an excuse not to pull their finger out?

Thats happens very often in every country in the world. companies find loopholes in the law system that allow them to offer bad but expensive services.
